Becoming an IJLET Editor

The Journal of Law, Ethics, and Technology offers members the opportunity to engage with various important policy and legal issues while helping students hone their writing and editing skills.

Each year a select group of law students is invited to become members. First-year members edit articles and assist with production work associated with the Journal. In addition, second-year members assume editorial positions on the Journal and leadership responsibilities in its operation. IJLET extends to students based upon writing samples and GPA.

While your traditional journalism skills are crucial in this role, your ability to work with our staff team, meet deadlines, and recruit other law students to write pieces for the publications are just as crucial to being successful in this role.

This role improves your understanding of the academic system, as well as good for your CV. As a student editor at the Journal, you will gain experience in manuscript reviewing and publishing processes in an environment that will help to advance your editorial skills.
